Somethin'
Fishy Goin' On - New Signings for January 2010
bluekipper.com will be fishing out all the rumours over the next few
months. Everton will be looking to strengthen the squad when the Transfer
window opens at the end of the season. We will be giving kippers out
of 5. The more kippers the more likely we think the transfer will happen.
If there are rumours you have heard let bluekipper.com know. fun@bluekipper.com
After
all the posturing, huffing and puffing yet another 'transfer window'
comes to a close. The yearly circus of watching the pontificating
Jim White and his sad side kicks at Sky getting excited when some
no mark moves to Torquay thankfully comes only twice a year.
Moyesy
made his moves early doors in bringing in Landon Donovan and Philippe
Senderos, and even though he made noises about maybe one new face
on deadline day, none came. It is now back to the guile and tactical
know how of the Managers and the spirit of the team instead of
the bank balance that will seperate the men from the boys come
the end of May. We have done it before, we can do it again, Europe
beckons. In Moyes We Trust !! (01/02/10)
Signings
Now Likely
With
a bench full of kids again yesterday, including Jack and Big Vic
who are nowhere near to full match fitness and Arteta and Distin
back on the injury list and new loan signings Donovan and Senderos
starting against Wigan,
Moyesy is considering bringing in players before the transfer
window closes at 5.00pm tomorrow.
Moyesy
says:
“Well people are saying all the boys are back. But of the four
out of the seven on the bench the other night against Sunderland
I don't think any of them could play 90 minutes at the moment.
Does that make them back? They could maybe play 20 minutes or
30 minutes but that’s where I’m still coming into this busy period,
especially with the European games, I need to get them up to speed.
If I feel I want to do it then I can do it if I want. I have a
couple of people who if I need it I can probably turn to. I'm
confident I could get them.” (31/01/10)
Last
Minute Signings Possible
With
Arteta, Vaughan, Anichebe, Yakubu and Yobo all back in the first
team squad in the next week or so and Jags just a few weeks away,
Moyesy has only signed Landon Donovan and Phillipe Senderos in
the January window to compensate for the loss in the opposite
direction of Jo and Lucas Neill. Not a bad piece of business.
Don't be surprised if the manager of the People's club brings
in one or two players over the weekend.
Moyesy
says: "I
don't think I'll be busy. But I've got one or two things I can
do if I need to. I have one or two loans signings that I could
bring in if I want to. I want to try and make sure that if we
do bring anyone in, it's the right one and it's of value for us.
I don't just want to bring somebody in to add to the numbers -
because that's not what I think we need. Numbers are improving
with injured players coming back. And if I was going to bring
somebody in, I would like it to be somebody of quality who could
add something to the team." (30/01/10)
More
Loan Players
After
bringing in Landon
Donovan, Moyesy is keen to bring in more players to the club
in January on loan.
Moyesy
says:
“I’ve got one in and I’m hoping to bring in another two or three
because it has got to the point where I can’t keep waiting for
the injured players to return.
At
the start of the season we had 21 outfield players. Maybe four
of them were injured and we were expecting to have them all back
by August or September. The only one that has returned is Yakubu
- and he will be off to the African Nations in January - so we
need to add to the numbers we’ve got. We haven’t made a great
deal of progress and, as always happens, you pick up injuries
during the course of the season. We need at least three or four
new faces in but the reality is that they will all have to be
loan signings.” (23/12/09)
New
Faces Imminent
With
up to six of the first team Squuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaad currently out
injured, Moyesy has given his biggest indication yet, that he
will be spending some money come January. Well thank God for that.
Moyesy
says: "We undoubtedly would like to get some players
back from injury and I would like to try and bring in one or two
players in January, if I can. I am hoping we are good enough to
get through in Europe and have a good second half to the season."
(24/11/09)
20.
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar
Moyesy
has confirmed he would love to bring Hunty to Goodison. Out of
favour at AC Milan and he needs games in preparation for the World
Cup. Yer never know.
Moyesy
says: "I don't talk about players at other clubs,
but if Huntelaar was available I would be interested, certainly.
Klaas-Jan wants to have playing time. He wants to go to the World
Cup and wants to be involved." (25/01/10)
Blue
Kipper says:
19.
Jan Mucha
Moyesy
has confirmed talks with Slovakia Goalkeeper Jan Mucha. Jan currently
plays for Legia Warsaw and could come into the Blues to put pressure
on No.1 Tim Howard. Carlo Nash the current Number 2 has only played
once for the Blues and will be on his way out of Goodison in the
Summer, so Moyesy is putting steps in place now before Jan plays
in this Summers World Cup.
Jan
will cost sod all, as he is a free agent come the Summer. Spurs
and The Arse are also sniffing around. Reports suggest that he
is nearly as good as BK's veteran shot stopper Lavo !!
Moyesy
says: "I couldn't confirm that at the moment, but
we are in talks." (22/01/10)
Blue
Kipper says:
18.
Jermaine Beckford
A
lot of media outlets are today reporting that up and coming Leeds
United hot shot Jermaine Beckford has signed a pre contract agreement
with the Blues to sign on this Summer. Beckford hit the national
headlines a few weeks ago when his FA Cup goal at Old Trafford
knocked manure out in the 3rd Round. He has been the talk of the
town ever since, with The Skunks for one chasing his signature.
Jermaine's Manager Simon Grayson has conceded that Everton have
won the chase for his strikers service's, but admits other clubs
may still yet come in for him.
Beckford's
Manager Simon Grayson says: "Pre-contract agreements
aren't binding, so both parties could pull out at any time. If
he bangs in another 20 goals, there might be bigger teams than
Everton coming in for him." (20/01/10)
Blue

17.
Knut Olav Rindaroy
Knutty
has found out what we all know that Everton are skint, so there
won't be a move this window. Maybe in the Summer. How long is
a piece of string?
Knutty
says:
"I got really good positive feedback but there will be no
transfer this window. Everton didn't have the money to buy me,
and I really need to be awarded time on the pitch. There has been
a large interest from other clubs I don't wish to name, but I
have decided to turn them down. It is Molde that have made me
where I am today and they are entitled to get something back.
That's why I signed a new one year contract in order to secure
money for them if I am to be bought this summer." (31/01/10)
Norwegian
defender Knutty (to his mates) is heading to Everton tomorrow
for a couple of days to train and hold talks. The 24yr old left
back, also comfortable in a centre back position is out of contract
with his cuurent team Molde in the summer and the Blues are said
to have been tracking him for some time.
Molde director Tarje Nordstrand Jacobsen says: "I
can confirm that Knut Olav according to plans will visit Everton
from Tuesday to Thursday. We have got signals that they want to
fly him over so that he gets to see the club and meet with them.
But that doesn't mean than anything is clear yet."
(18/01/10)
Blue
Kipper says:
16.
Matthew Kilgallon
The
Blues are battling it out we are told with the Dingles at Burnley
for the signature of Sheffield United's Matthew Kilgallon. The
versatile defender will be able to leave on a free next year,
and the Blues may tempt the Yorkshire teams hand by bidding some
of the cash from the sale of Lucas Neill, rather then waiting
till the Summer.
Kilgallon
has played over 100 times for the Blades, though he only has very
limited Premiership experience, then again so did Tiny, Roger
and The Jag, sign him up Boss, sign him up. (15/01/10)

15.
András Gosztonyi
19
year old Hungarian Andy (to his mates) has set his sights on joining
Everton. Moyesy has been keeping tabs on him for the last six
months since his impressive performance at the U20s World Cup
where Hungary finished 3rd. The attacking midfielder currently
with MTK Budapest has scored 5 goals in 13 games this season.
He was due to fly into John Lennon last week but bad weather prevented
the visit. If he comes he'd better sort that head out.
Andy
says: ‘I know they watched me during the under-20 World
Cup and also in the Hungarian championship so they know what I
can do on the pitch’. (10/01/10)

Benni McCarthy
Moyesy
who has problems up front is said to be considering a move for
Blackburn Rovers striker Benni McCarthy. With King Louis struggling
with injury, The Yak away on his African jolly and Jo, well less
said the better there, Moyesy is short on options up front.
Young
Vaughny has come in a done a sterling job, but at present he is
our only striker fit to play, so Moyesy is hoping for a loan deal,
or a cut price move for the South African front man. Blackburn
apparently would like a cash deal, and are said to be asking £2.5m
for their target man.
Blue
Kipper says:

13.
Frederic Piquionne
Moysey is thought to be considering a loan deal
for Portsmouth striker Freddy (to his mates). It is thought that
with his future at the moment in doubt, his representatives have
contacted Everton to see if they are keen. The 6ft 2in forward,
capped once by France, signed for Lyon for £4 million in 2008
from Monaco, but struggled to force his way into the side. On loan
at Portsmouth since August 2009 with 6 goals in 22 appearances,
not a prolific striker however he did score against the shite in
Pompey's recent 2-0 win. (04/01/10)
Blue
Kipper says:
12.
Aidan McGeady
The
Blues and Villa are said to be slogging it out for Celtic's Aidan
McGeady according to several rags this morning. There is a slight
problem though in that the winger who is said to be keen to try
his hand in England may command a transfer fee of around £8m.
The Blues can only move if they can secure a loan deal till the
Summer for McGeady, then try and raise a few shekels with bucket
collections etc in the Summer to find the till to sign him on
proper. (28/12/09)
Blue
Kipper says:
11.
Jose Antonio Reyes
Jose
Antonio Reyes for the Blues, well don't bet against it. Moyesy
has made it clear it is loan signings only come January, and Jose
fits the bill. The ex Arse player is currently at Atlectico Madrid
but finding it hard to cement a place there. He is versatile and
can play wide or up front. Watch this space as they say.
Moyesy
says: "We need at least three or four new faces
in but the reality is that they will all have to be loan signings.”
(22/12/09)
Blue
Kipper says:
10.
Fernando Gago
Moyesy
we are told is running the rule over Real Madrid's Fernando Gago.
Fernando who is the brother to multi million selling sexpot stroke
odd ball Lady Ga Ga is an Argentinean midfielder, who at the present
is not getting a look in at the Bernabau. Gago has played 70 odd
times for the Galacticos scoring once and has thrown in 28 International
appearances for Diego 'Hand of God' Maradona's National side.
His sister Lady Ga Ga has had best selling hits on both sides
of the Atlantic and is a sexual dynamo according to some press
reports. (15/12/09)

Landon Donavan
Landon's
Work Permit has landed and he is now free to pull on the Royal Blue,
and hopefully fire the boys up the table in 2010. The powers that
be gave the green light, thumbs up, green card, well whatever you
need to work in the UK, and Donovan will be available to play for
the Blues come January 2nd. (22/12/09)
After
all the rumour and conjecture it now looks like Landon Donavan will
be joining the Blues on January 2nd 2010. Bobby Elstone CEO of Everton
has said as much, and today in Los Angeles, LA Galaxy Boss Bruce
Arena (Tina's Dad) confirmed that Landon will be heading from the
sunny West Coast of America to Paradise for an initial loan deal
of three months.
Bobby
our CEO says: "A finalised deal is not too far away.
Positive discussions have been ongoing and we expect to have Landon
join the Club when the window opens on January 2nd."
LA
Galaxy Boss Brucde Arena says: "A loan deal has not
been finalised, we're hopeful it will and it will likely be with
Everton. Everton is a club with a small roster and a congested schedule
over the next few weeks and months. It's a great fit for Landon
and the clubs have an understanding of the agreement. We are confident
that is where he will end up."
Landon
says: "You want to go where you are wanted and Everton
have been incredibly professional and expressed their interest and
I feel that is a place where I would feel very comfortable. There's
already a lot of Americans that play there (English Premier League)
and it would be interesting. But we will cross that bridge when
we come to it.
This
is a very exciting day for me, this has been a very interesting
decision for me. It has been difficult at times but after a lot
of soul searching, this is where I want to be." (16/12/09)
Tim
Howard gives Landon the thumbs up and hopes he joins us from LA
Galaxy
Tim
says “From playing with him in the USA team I know he is
a tremendous player. He’d be a good addition to any team and particularly
this team. He is a star, he really is.
“He is a friend, but he is also a top quality
player and the more of those we can bring in the better.
“Donovan can bring several strengths to the
team. He can play wide right and underneath the strikers, he has
got good pace with the ball and he runs and runs all day long!
“He’s
got a fantastic touch with both his left and right. He can cross
the ball well and shoot the ball well - he has got a bunch of attributes
that mean he’ll do well in the Premier League.”
(13/12/09)
Maybe
it's not a done deal. One way or the other we will know in a couple
of weeks.
His
club LA Galaxy has mentioned that a few other clubs are interested
in Landon, but Moysey was a bit more positive on the outcome.
Galaxy
Smooth says:"We are aware of Everton’s interest in
Landon Donovan, as they are one of a number of clubs who have contacted
the Galaxy about the possibility of a short-term loan agreement
for Landon. The Galaxy, MLS and Landon’s representative will work
together to determine if and whether an arrangement with Everton
or any other club would be beneficial to all parties."
Moyesy
says:“I can't tell you too much just now because we are
just finalising things. But I think that will probably happen in
a couple of weeks. I would rather wait until it's done. Maybe in
a couple of weeks we will be able to tell you a little bit more."(11/12/09)
Everton have confirmed that they are
in talks to bring Lanny to Goodison Park in January.
Everton
chief executive Robert Elstone says: "Landon is a
player David Moyes has identified as someone he would like to bring
to the Club. We are working to make that happen and hope we can
reach agreement soon with all the appropriate parties”. (10/12/09)
By
all accounts this is a done deal. With the Major League Soccer (MLS)
season just finished, Lanny to his mates is looking to play to keep
him fit ready for USA in the World Cup in June. Obviously had a
good chat with his mate Tim Howard. This is a no brainer if we pull
it off. Oh Matron!!
Lanny
is 27 and is the USA's leading international goal-scorer with 42
goals and is also their most capped player with 120 appearances.
Donovan won the MLS Most Valuable player and the Goal of the Year
awards for the 2009. Lanny has
expierience in Europe with Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen. (09/12/09)

8.
Diego Forlan
This
one may be pie in the sky, but a few Sunday rags are reporting
Moyesy may try and strike a loan deal for ex manure striker Diego
Forlan. Forlan never hit the heights at United, but now in Spain
playing for Atlectico Madrid he is scoring for fun. He is 30yrs
old and apparently missing the English game. Funnier things have
happened, like when Lard and Sausage were in Scarborough and they....mmmm
won't go there.
Moyesy
says: "If he was interested I would give him a home
here but I have said that the players we bring in will probably
be on a loan basis.” (06/12/09)
Blue
Kipper says:
7.
Alan Hutton
Spurs
out of favour right back Alan Hutton is apparently back on Moyesy's
radar for this January. After the Boss made his intentions of
bringing new faces
in come January, one of his old targets has come onto the radar.
Moyesy was interested in Hutton a few seasons ago when the defender
joined Spurs from Glasgow Rangers. He was signed by then Boss
Juande Ramos, but since Hawwy Wedknapp has arrived the 28yr old
Scot has found himself twiddling his thumbs (I said thumbs) on
the sidelines. (27/11/09)
Blue
Kipper says:
6.
Milan Jovanovic
Moyesy
has lost The
Yak to the African nations for a month, Jo
is suspended, Saha is injured again, even reserve striker
Jukebox
is out on loan at Motherwell, leaving only injury prone striker
James Vaughan
and youngster Kiran Agard as the only strikers available.
so
Mily (to his mates) could be the answer. The Standard Liege Striker's
current contract expires at the end of the season when he’d be
free to go so the likelihood is that he will be sold this month.
Birmingham have also shown an interest as well as the Shite….but
in his words ‘will leave Standard for a good team’! It was reported
that he’d already signed for AC Milan but that was denied by him.
Mily
says: "I was very surprised when I read D'Onofrio's
(Standard's VP) comments about me already having signed a contract
at Milan. It's true that I have spoken with Milan representatives
about a possible transfer, but I haven't signed anything yet.
I have been in touch with several clubs and will leave Standard
for a good team, but no decision has been made so far."
(03/01/10)
Its
that time of year again, nah not Christmas, but transfer rumours,
as Moyesy this January will have to strengthen his squaaaad to
keep pace with the Spurs and Sittehs of this world. Standard Liege
striker Milan Jovanovic is a name being touted around. Some info
on the free agent come next Summer is that he is 28yrs old, a
Serbian International, played with Screech at Standard Liege,
and has netted nine times in twenty two appearances with Serbia.
At Liege he has netted 51 times in 103 starts, so as they say,
not a bad un. (18/11/09)

Maxime Lestienne
The
Blues are showing Belgian starlet Maxime Lestienne the bright
lights of Goodison and Finch Farm with a view to taking the 17yr
old promising midfielder on full time. Maxime is currently at
Belgian side Excelsior Mouscron and they are looking to sell their
main asset to balance the books. Sitteh not surprisingly are also
sniffing around.
Excelsior
Mouscron Caretaker Boss Hans Galje says: "I know
Lestienne has been asked to come and visit Everton for a couple
of days, but they can take a place in the waiting room. There
is an incredible amount of clubs interested in this guy.
I
understand Maxime won't leave Mouscron soon. The invitation of
Everton is to show him the stadium and that's not that strange.
But
first Maxime wants to take a look and then Mouscron will have
to be asked permission for that to happen." (17/11/09)
Blue

4.
Philippe Senderos
Phil
is thrilled to be a Toffeemen even if it's only to the end of the
season. The Swiss International will be given the
number 23 shirt.
Phil
says:I am delighted to be an Everton player for the remainder
of the season. I can't wait to get stuck in and play for Everton.
Hopefully I can get some first-team football in during my time here."
"I am here with high hopes and hopefully I
can fulfil them. I have spoken to David Moyes and he hopes to give
me opportunities here.Hopefully I can grab that opportunity and
stay in the team.
"Everton's
form over the last few weeks has been better and they are getting
stronger."(25/01/10)
Moyesy's
ongoing pursuit of Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos we believe
has paid off, with the centre half joining the Royal Blue ranks
on loan till the end of the season. Moyesy felt he needed reinforcements
in the defensive department after agreeing to release Lucas Neill
to Galatassary only last week. Senderos is only 24, a Swiss International,
and if he performs a full time contract may follow. Welcome to paradise
Philippe. (23/01/10)
The
transfer window is open from today and rumours are flying around
Merseyside that Louis Saha maybe on his way to Arsenal. Although
we don't believe it, nothing should surprise Evertonians. What is
more believable is that Moyesy wants a centre half on loan. With
Yobo out injured, but no doubt fit enough to lead Nigeria in the
African nations for the month of January and Jags and Distin still
injured, Senderos could be the player to come to Goodison on loan.
(01/01/10)
With
Everton's Joey Yobo off to the African nations tournie in January
and The Jags still not fit, Everton may go back to the arse for
Phil (to his mates). Moyesy held talks with the 24 year old in the
Summer but the deal didn't happen.
Phil
says: "I need to seek a solution as I'm not playing
for Arsenal. A change of clubs in the winter is an option. I am
keeping all doors open. This is a difficult time. It's like a test
that I have to come through, but I believe in God and have to stay
strong." (15/11/09)

For Blues on Loan
3.
Javi Garcia
The
Blues are said to be looking at Benfica's Javi Garcia who is a
cousin of the ex shite player Luis Garcia. Moyesy was impressed
by the young midfield star who he saw at close hand in the Blues
two matches with the Portuguese giants last month. The sticking
point as ever will be cash, as the player is valued in the region
of £12m, and the words piss, pot, not, to, have, a, we,
got come to mind.
Regardless
of the financial costs, all the female fans of the Blues have
started a petition to make Moyesy sign Javi, Jesus have you seen
him, he is a looker, corrrrrr !! (12/11/09)
Blue
Kipper says:
2.
Adam Johnson
Moyesy
it seems has run his personal rule over Middlesboro's exciting
22yr old winger Adam Johnson. Moyesy popped into his old stomping
ground of Deepdale on Saturday to watch Johnson score and put
in a man of the match performance against Preston in a 2-2 draw.
The shite, Sunderland and Villa are also tracking the Boro player,
who is out of contract next Summer.
Adam
says: "I have been linked with massive, massive
clubs since I was 18. I thrive on it. When you get mentioned with
these big, big clubs it boosts your confidence. Any player would
like it."
Blue
Kipper says:
1.
Alan Smith
The
old chestnut of Smudger Smith has raised its head again today,
and Everton seem to be in the hunt for the Skunks striker along
with notloB. Moyesy has always rated the hard working fiery midfielder
who career has took a down turn since he left Leeds a few seasons
back. The cash strapped North East club will listen to bids in
the region of £2m, that is if the Sunday rags are right.
The
silly season starts again now, with the transfer window only ten
weeks away and Bluekipper will be close on hand to start unfounded
rumours and start titttle tattle and shite.
